Isac's work serves as a manifesto. The mission is to explore the intricate connection between perception and the integration of the physical universe with the mental realm. Born in Maputo and currently based in Florence, Italy, he embodies the interdisciplinary spirit of his Renaissance mentors, who shaped Florence the cultural capital of the world. His creations radiate virtuosity and unites a myriad of artistic disciplines and technologies that enrich dormant ideas about photography in the fine arts.
Born in 1996, Isac Júnior inherited an artistic eye that would shape his future. From an early age, Isac revealed an undeniable passion for the art of storytelling through photography, capturing the most precious moments of life around him and creating projects as a way of expressing his feelings. Through the lens of his camera, he was able to tell stories, convey emotions and document the beauty of the world.
His journey took a pivotal turn in 2012 when he embarked on a simultaneous artistic and scientific exploration.
He immersed himself in the study of this art and delved into photographic techniques and theories, constantly seeking to improve his skills. His thirst for knowledge and innovation drove him to explore new possibilities and experiment with different photographic styles.
During this period, due to his remarkable range of talents, he was attributed the nickname of ‘’Magaiva’’ and embarked his scientific and artistic journey as a self-taught artist, exploring different forms of art and technology. Raised in Trevo neighbourhood - Matola Municipality – Maputo, where he had his first interaction with photography, nurturing his inner child who always presented boundless curiosity and created random things with the limited resources available to him.
In 2015, after an exhaustive exploration of various ways of making art, Isac took up photography with more depth. Coming from a family of tailors and very tidy parents, this influenced his taste and he fell in love with fashion, thus mixing fashion and minimalism in his work.
In addition to his commitment to art, Isac Júnior has also made a name for himself as an entrepreneur. Living in an increasingly digital world, he had the vision to found 258 GALLERY, a digital art exhibition platform. This gallery has provided Isac and other nationally renowned artists with an innovative way of sharing their work with the public, breaking down geographical barriers and reaching a global following. Based in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, Isac Júnior has an even bigger vision, which is to create an artistic movement called Maputo Art Fair.
This initiative aims to promote local art, bringing galleries around the world from different segments to exhibit their work in an inspiring environment. Maputo Art Fair is expected to be a movement that connects artists, art enthusiasts and the public, encouraging appreciation and dialog around art.
Isac Júnior, with his devotion to photography and his entrepreneurial soul, continues to walk his artistic path, always looking for new ways to express his vision and convey his messages through his images. His biographical narrative is an exciting story of an artist who transforms the world around him into art and inspiration, due to his multifaceted artistic explanation.
Throughout his stay in Cape town, he created several relationships with renowned galleries and museums in order to organize various art promotion events, such as Trace Rose and the Cape Town Art Fair. Still in Cape Town, in 2021, she began her partnership with Zeitz MOCAA, Africa's largest contemporary art museum, where she worked on various projects and productions.
Back in Mozambique, on vacation, in mid-2021, Isac Jr, founded the contemporary art gallery entitled 258 GALLERY inspired by the international art industry, thus contributing to his country's creative industry and bringing more inspiring knowledge from the field.
